Hello guys and welcome back to my blog post! It's week 12 which means that it is the last week:( I can not believe it is already time for the project to be over.
This week I did not have a lot to do because I have already wrapped up the project. I am so proud of myself with the success I had with this project! Even though there were a few changes a couple of weeks into the project, I was still able to pass both of my goals by a huge amount. I passed the goal that I had set for money donations by $60 and passed my item donation goal by 18 items. I am so thankful for the people who helped me reach those goals! This project helped me has helped and shaped me in numerous ways. It has allowed me to step out of my comfort zone by talking to people I've never spoken with before. It has shown me that organization and planning is key when it comes to a big project like this. It has also shown me that I should be more grateful for the smaller things in life, such as being able to afford to have pets and provide the supplies they need to survive. Although this project has come to an end, I am still planning on working with the Humane Society throughout the future. I would love to volunteer there if I can find the time in my schedule to do so. Thank you guys for supporting my project and helping the furry friends in our community! :)

Hello guys and welcome back to my blog! It's week 11 which means there is only 1 week left:( This week I delivered the items to the Humane Society and totaled up the amount of money I collected. I totaled up all of the money I have collected and the final amount is $110! I was able to pass my original goal by $60 and my second goal by $10. The money will directly be sent from the go fund me page to the representative at the Humane Society. I am so appreciative of everyone who has donated because it will all be going to a great cause. On Wednesday, I finally got to deliver the donation items I had collected. The workers at the Humane Society were beyond thankful. I think they told me "thank you" about twenty times within the ten minutes I was in there! They also stated that a Davie County resident called their facility today in need of cat food. Within my donations, I had ten cans of cat food so they were very grateful that that need would be met. I am so glad I was able to have a part in helping local animals in our county. Thank you guys for stopping by and stay tuned for the final blog post! Hello guys and welcome back to my blog! This week(week 10), I am wrapping things up with the go fund me page.
Last week I received another donation of 15 dollars. That is most likely the last donation we will receive considering I am ending the go fund me next week. Next week is also the week that I get to deliver all of the supplies to the Humane Society! I am beyond excited to deliver the items and can't wait for them to get used. Thank you for stopping by. Stay tuned for next week's blog post to find out the total amount of money I collected! Hello guys and welcome back to my blog! This week(week 9), I have organized everything to get ready to drop the supplies off at the Humane Society.
I have gone online to the Humane Society of Davie County website to see what days their facility is open. They are open from 11am-5pm Tuesday through Friday and are open from 10am-2pm on Saturday. I have decided I am going to drop off my donations on May 1st, which is a Wednesday. I have organized the items into bags based on office supplies, food, and toys to make it easier for the workers at the Humane Society. Thank you guys for stopping by. Stay tuned! Hello guys and welcome back to my blog! This week(week 8), I have planned out what I am going to do with the rest of my time during this project.
This week I have collected 40 more dollars. The money did not come from my go fund me page, but it came directly from one of my friend's moms. I was beyond surprised and thankful when I received this donation because it was the biggest one I had gotten so far. As of right now, I have a total of 95 dollars, which is 5 dollars away from my goal! I am planning on ending the go fund me page in 3 weeks which will be week 11 of the project. That will be the same week I will be delivering the supplies to the Humane Society and wrapping everything up. Thank you for stopping by. Stay tuned! Hello guys and welcome back to my blog! This week(week 7), I have continued collecting supplies and money.
As I said in last week's blog, I ended the donation supply at my dance studio. The total amount of supplies I ended up with totaled to 43 items. I almost doubled my goal! The items contained things from toys, food, blankets, beds and office supplies. I am very thankful for my dance family and their donations. My go fund me page has increased another 10 dollars. I am hoping to pass my goal of money donations just as I did with my supply donations! Thank you guys so much for stopping by and stay tuned for next week's blog! :) Hello and welcome back to my blog! This week(week 6), I have finally gotten back on track with the plan and project.
I am still receiveing a good amount of donations from my dance studio and money from the go fund me page. I sent a remind message to all of my dance family that I needed all the items by the end of the week. This really motivated everyone to bring in a lot of donations. My go fund me page is still doing really well. I have receieved 20 more dollars! In next week's blog post I will reveal the total amount of donation items that I collected. Stay tuned! Hello guys and welcome back to my blog! This week(week 5), I have gone a little off track with my project and have had a few changes in plans. This week I decided to switch up some of my original plans. I did not reach out to Advance Country Store or place money boxes in Weathered Rock General Store. I have decided to scratch this plan for two reasons. The first reason is that the money boxes I would have to purchase are $40 each. The second reason is that luckily the go fund me page is already making a lot of money! In last week's blog, I explained how I had placed a donation box in my dance studio and already had a few donations. I had also received a box of donations from my grandmother. The total amount of donations I have from the past 2 weeks total up to 10 items. That is almost half of my goal! The go fund me page has already received $25 which is great. Thank you from stopping by to read this week's blog. Stay tuned! Hello guys and welcome back to my blog! This week(week 4), I have continued to get the project up and running.
This week I went a little off track with my original plan. I was not able to find time this week to run out to “Weathered Rock General Store” and put the money box there and was unable to get in contact with “Advance Country Store”, but I still plan on doing both of these things. Since I was not able to get in contact with “Advance Country Store” and deliver the money bin to “Weathered Rock General Store”, I went a different route with this weeks agenda. During week 2 of the project, I set up donation boxes in “Paradigm Dance Collective”. I already have a few donations in the box, but I sent out a remind message to the dancers and parents who go there, that I needed all supplies by the end of March. I also received a box of supplies from my grandmother down in Florida. As a part of people being able to send online donations I set up my “GoFundMe Page”. On the page I typed a paragraph about why I was doing the project and where the money would be going to. I set the goal on the page to $100 which is $50 higher than what I originally had it set at. My mom and I both publicized the donation page on our Facebook and Instagram’s. Next week(week 5), I will be proceeding with the plan that I was originally going to do this week. I will place the money box in “Weathered Rock General Store” and reach out to “Advance Country Store” in hope that they will allow me to place one in their store as well. Down below I have included the link to the “GoFundMe Page” that I created. Thank you for stopping by to read this week’s blog post! This week(week 3), I finally began a part of the process and I was so excited to get some of the project up and running. As I said in last week’s blog I got approval from “Paradigm Dance Collective” to set up a donation bin in the front of their business. I also got approval from “Weathered Rock General Store” to place a money box near their cash register. Therefore, this week I was able to start placing some of the bins in the stores. On Monday, I placed a donation box in the front lobby of “Paradigm Dance Collective”. With the box I left a piece of paper with the list of items that are needed at the Humane Society. By Thursday I already had 4 donations in the box. I would say that the project is off to a good start, and I hope it continues to go that way. Next week(week 4) I am planning on placing the money box inside of “Weathered Rock General Store”. I am also hoping to find another business who will let me place either a donation or money bin inside of their store. The businesses I am thinking about reaching out to is “Advance Country Store” and “Maddie Cakes”. The only issue I think I may run into with asking them, is that they may already have a money box in their store and not allow another one to be placed there. To the side I have included a photo of the donation box that I placed in “Paradigm Dance Collective”. Thank you for stopping by to read this week’s blog post! Stay tuned. |
